Liverpool has been urged not to sell Luis Diaz this summer as speculation continues over his future, with the winger weighing up his options.
Diaz once again finds himself being linked with a move to Barcelona, with the La Liga champion having had an approach turned down by Liverpool last week.
Sporting director Deco had already named the 28-year-old earlier this summer as a player who would interest the Camp Nou club.
It’s not just Barca that is being touted as a possible destination though, with Diaz joining the growing list of players being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Diaz has two years remaining on his contract - the same one that he signed upon joining Liverpool from Porto in 2022.
Although he has previously suggested he will hold talks over a new deal, the club isn’t thought to be planning a new contract anytime soon.
The Reds though also appear to have no appetite for selling Diaz, with Arne Slot planning for next season with him in his squad - a stance that former Liverpool player Don Hutchinson agrees with.
Assessing Liverpool’s summer ahead, with moves for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez looking to be in the works after Jeremie Frimpong’s arrival, Hutchinson told Gambling Zone: “I mean, that alone would be one of the best windows for a long time.
There's been talks of maybe Luis Diaz maybe moving on because they could, he could bring in a lot of money, but I wouldn't sell him?
I think he's a brilliant player and some of the best Liverpool performances I saw last season was when Diaz played as a false nine.
“Not only that, but by stopping there they still have room for their young stars to continue their progress.
