Leicester City have registered their interest in signing Bristol City forward Fally Mayulu, sources have told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old has also been the subject of an enquiry from Celtic, who are keen to explore the possibility of a move before the transfer deadline.
The 6ft 4in striker showed his qualities in a 30-minute cameo appearance in their 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat against Fulham on Wednesday 27 August.
Leicester are now exploring a late move for Mayulu as they try to complete a loan deal before the transfer deadline of 7pm on Monday 1 September.
Mayulu’s current contract at Bristol City is set to run until 2028, placing them in a strong position with regard to his long-term future.

Mayulu made just six starts from 20 appearances across all competitions last season and played just 647 minutes as his side qualified for the Championship Playoffs.
As a result, he is believed to be open to leaving the club in search of first-team football before deadline day, even if only on a temporary basis.

Leicester are believed to be exploring a loan move which would see them bolster their attacking ranks with depth behind Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew.
Daka is the only out-and-out striker on Marti Cifuentes‘ books as things stand, and Mayulu would offer an different option to the Zambia international.
Celtic’s interest, meanwhile, comes as Brendan Rodgers remains determined to land a new striker as they have yet to replace Kyogo Furuhashi since his January exit.
Leicester City are facing a difficult end to the transfer window with interest growing in the likes of Bilal El Khannouss and Abdul Fatawu before the deadline.
Football Insider revealed on 30 August that Sunderland have explored a deal to sign Fatawu but are now considered unlikely to pursue their interest.

The Premier League new boys had targeted a move for the Ghana star, but have decided not to take it further with Leicester valuing him at £30m.
Meanwhile, El Khannouss had been expected to join Crystal Palace, but the Eagles’ signing of Yeremy Pino from Villarreal has put paid to that interest.
