Arne Slot is preparing to unleash a new generation of academy talents into the first-team at Liverpool, Rousing The Kop can exclusively reveal.

The Reds have proven themselves to be one of the best clubs in the Premier League for giving chances to youth team prospects over recent years.

This reputation was cemented under Jurgen Klopp, with the former Liverpool manager handing out dozens of debuts during his time at Anfield.

And although Slot has not continued this to the same degree since arriving last year, RTK have been informed that supporters can expect this to change next season.

The head coach is keen to make use of the Liverpool academy in a similar manner to Klopp and is understood to be considering a number of players for the upcoming pre-season.

This could include Slot promoting some surprise youngsters as he aims to put his own stamp on the academy.

Slot arrived at Liverpool in 2024 with a reputation for developing young players and promoting them internally.

And although this has not been seen in great effect so far at Liverpool, RTK understands that the Dutch coach views the next generation as the one where he can truly start making an impact.

Slot is then likely to promote a new crop of players, some of whom have not been on the radar at all up until this point.

Some youngsters are understood to be in line to make the trip to Japan and Hong Kong this summer as Slot decides whether any are ready for a more permanent role in the first-team.

It remains to be seen exactly which players Slot has his eye on from the academy.

However, sources have indicated that several players who are not being talked about as being close to the first-team could suddenly find themselves involved.

Liverpool have put plenty of hard work into their academy over the last decade and are confident they have players who can step into the first-team.

Success stories such as Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah have given confidence around the club that the next breakthrough is not far away.

Slot is understood to feel the same way as he prepares to take a more active role in overseeing the development of Liverpool’s young starlets.
