The Jeremy Frimpong saga is set to come to a close very soon with Liverpool closing in on the deal.

DAVEOCKOP can exclusively reveal that Arne Slot has had talks with Jeremie Frimpong today ahead of the final stages of the transfer.

A contract until 2030 is at the final stages of being ironed out with the Dutch international expected to make the move imminently.

The €35 million clause represents significant value for a player of Frimpong’s caliber, particularly given his homegrown status from his Manchester City academy years.

This eases Liverpool’s squad registration compliance, especially with Caoimhin Kelleher and Tyler Morton likely departing in the summer.

Celtic, Frimpong’s former club, will receive a 30% sell-on fee, but Liverpool’s upfront costs remain manageable.
