TBR Football understands Paris Saint-Germain have told Arsenal and Liverpool target Xavi Simons that they want him to return to the club, disappointing a host of suitors including a number in England.
Xavi Simons is currently on loan at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and he has enjoyed an outstanding campaign with seven goals and 11 assists to his name.
Simons, who is set to be part of the Netherlands squad for their European Championship campaign, is now considering his options.
The former Barcelona youth prospect was loaned by PSG, who brought him back to their club when they exercised a buy-back option following one season in the Dutch Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven.
Simons is now set to be presented with the chance to become a key piece of Luis Enrique’s side going into next season – despite interest from a host of clubs.

TBR understands that Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been keeping close tabs on Simons’s progress, as have his former club Barcelona.
Talks are expected with PSG in the coming weeks, but sources have confirmed to TBR that Simons will be informed that the French giants intend to bring him back to Paris this summer.

Simons caught the eye in the Eredivisie with PSV during the 2022-23 season, scoring 22 times and registering 12 assists in 48 appearances.
His displays in the Dutch league led to high praise from former Tottenham man Rafael van der Vaart, who claimed the youngster has ‘world-class’ potential.
“It’s starting to get a bit boring that it’s about him every week, but it’s nice when you have a player like that,” Van der Vaart said back in March 2023.
“I look at the potential.
Xavi Simons exudes everything that makes me extremely happy.”
When asked if Simons could become ‘world-class’, he added: “Absolutely.”
Simons has spent the season on loan at Leipzig and has produced equally impressive numbers in the Bundesliga. In 41 appearances for the German outfit, the youngster has had a hand in 24 goals while mainly operating off either flank for Leipzig.
