Arsenal are favourites to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners lead their North London rivals Tottenham in the race for the 27-year-old, who has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park.

Sources say that Palace are prepared for offers to come in for Eze in the latter stages of the transfer window.

The Eagles would prefer to keep the England international but are remaining realistic and could be open to selling him if the right bid is made.

Before making their interest in Eze concrete with any sort of offer or bid, Arsenal will have to offload some of their current squad.

Mikel Arteta’s side have had a busy transfer window so far, adding the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Maudeke, and Martin Zubimendi among others.

Jakub Kiwior could be one of those leaving Arsenal this summer, and has been linked with a move to the Italian pair of Juventus and AC Milan.

However, Ethan Nwaneri will be staying at the Emirates despite rumours of an exit earlier in the window, after he signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly planning to accept a Gabriel Jesus offer in the final month of the transfer window after the landmark capture of Gyokeres.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the 28-year-old is no longer a part of Arteta’s long-term plans.

Gyokeres’ arrival from Sporting CP has forced the Brazil international down the pecking order, where he has now become the third-choice striker.

Brown told Football Insider in November that Arsenal were planning to entertain offers for Jesus in January, before his cruciate ligament injury scuppered their plans.
