Liverpool will accept an offer of around £20million for Ben Doak this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Both Leeds United and West Ham are pursuing the 19-year-old, who could potentially be leaving Anfield before the end of the window.

Sources say that Liverpool will not stand in Doak’s way if a suitable offer that meets their price tag comes in.

The Scotland international is well down the pecking order under Arne Slot, and would need a move away to guarantee first-team football in the Premier League.

Back in January, Liverpool rejected a £15m bid from Crystal Palace for Doak, as it didn’t meet the club’s valuation of the player.

If either Leeds or West Ham want to secure the signing of the talented youngster, then they will have to exceed Palace’s bid from the start of the year.

Doak spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship, starting 21 games, scoring three goals and picking up 10 assists.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will face a difficult task to sign newly appointed Brentford captain Nathan Collins this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Collins played every single minute in the Premier League for the Bees last season and was appointed as Brentford’s new captain by Keith Andrews on 3 August, after Christian Norgaard’s departure to Arsenal.

Liverpool are in the market for central defenders this summer after Jarell Quansah‘s own move to Bayer Leverkusen, but sources have told Football Insider that Brentford are unlikely to let the Irishman leave.

Sources have told Football Insider that Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi remains the far more realistic centre-back target for Liverpool this summer, particularly with Collins’ new appointment at Brentford.
