Blackpool are advancing in talks to sign Nottingham Forest forward Dale Taylor on a permanent deal, sources have told Football Insider.
Fellow League One side Plymouth Argyle have also shown interest in the 21-year-old, but are set to lose out in the race for his signature.
Talks between Blackpool and Forest are moving in a positive direction, with a seven-figure fee expected to be agreed soon.
Taylor has just one competitive appearance for the Premier League side, and has spent the last two and a half seasons out on loan.

Taylor made his international debut at just 17 years old and now has eight caps for the Northern Ireland senior team.
Over the last few seasons, the forward has built up a wealth of League One experience while out on loan from Nottingham Forest.

Taylor scored 11 league goals for third-tier Wigan Athletic last season, and found the back of the net five times the campaign before, during a spell at Wycombe Wanderers.
The Northern Irishman also spent the second half of the season at Burton Albion in 2022/23, again scoring five League One goals.
After a number of loan spells, it seems as if Taylor will now be making a permanent move away from the City Ground to join up with Steve Bruce at Blackpool.

Meanwhile, Chuba Akpom has agreed a deal with Ipswich Town after rejecting an offer from Birmingham City, sources have told Football Insider.
The Ajax striker, 29, has held talks with both Championship clubs as he plots a return to English football.
Akpom has reached an agreement with Ipswich and is set to complete a move soon.
Birmingham are said to be “gutted” to have missed out on the former Arsenal and Middlesbrough star, who has an impressive track record in England’s second tier.
