RB Salzburg midfielder Bobby Clark is having a medical at Derby County ahead of a season-long loan move, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Liverpool midfielder will undergo tests at Derby’s training ground before putting the finishing touches on a loan agreement.
A full agreement is in place and the terms of the deal have all been finalised.
Clark, 20, made 25 appearances for Salzburg last season including six in the Champions League and John Eustace has targeted him to add quality to his squad.
The midfielder has featured regularly since making the move from Liverpool in 2024, but started just 13 games and is keen to play more consistent minutes.
Clark has four years remaining on his contract with the Austrian outfit, and is keen to develop his game at Pride Park before returning to make his mark on the starting XI.

Derby narrowly avoided relegation by just one point last season, and Eustace is determined to strengthen his squad to steer them away from the drop.
Having already agreed eight incoming deals so far this summer, a new midfielder has been a key target and they moved quickly after Clark became available.
Clark will join his former Liverpool teammate Owen Beck and Crystal Palace‘s David Ozoh as the club remain keen to utilise the loan market given their financial situation.
The midfielder was highly-rated during his time at Anfield and despite having struggled to get going at Salzburg, his signing is seen as a coup for The Rams.
Football Insider revealed last year that Salzburg beat Leeds, Rangers and Celtic to Clark, and he is now viewed as a key addition to Eustace’s plans.

Despite what has been a busy transfer window at Pride Park, Derby have missed out on key targets and remain determined to strengthen their squad.
Football Insider revealed on 3 July that Derby were interested in signing Callum Brittain from Blackburn Rovers, but he has now joined Middlesbrough.
Derby were also keen to sign Sonny Carey before they were beaten to his signature by newly-promoted Charlton Athletic in a blow to their plans.
As a result, they were determined to land Clark’s signature and are now closing in on confirmation of the deal following his medical.
