Leeds United are preparing to submit a formal offer for Everton striker Beto, sources have told Football Insider.

The imminent bid for the 27-year-old Guinea Bissau international is expected to be in the region of £20-22million.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on Thursday that Everton are expecting Beto to find a new club, following a behind-the-scenes falling out.

David Moyes has been unimpressed by the striker’s attitude during pre-season and is unhappy that the player has not “conformed” to his methods.

The likelihood is growing that Beto will depart Everton this month, although Moyes will not let him go without having a replacement lined up.

Earlier this summer, Leeds completed the signing of Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer after his contract at Wolfsburg ran out.

Daniel Farke’s side also have Joel Piroe among their ranks, but neither of the attacking pair have much Premier League experience between them.

On the other hand, Beto has 60 top-flight appearances in England, scoring 11 league goals in total during his two campaigns at Everton.

Last season, the 27-year-old managed to find the net eight times in 20 appearances in the Premier League.

If Leeds get the Beto deal over the line, it will add some much-needed experience to their strikeforce, as they look to avoid an immediate relegation back to the Championship.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly planning to accept £15m offers for defender Kostas Tsimikas in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the 29-year-old has no place in Arne Slot’s plans for the future.

Slot made a clear statement about the left-back’s position in his team after he was left out of the squad during the Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace.

Brown told Football Insider in May that Leeds are interested in signing Tsimikas and will rival Nottingham Forest for his signature.
