There has been a flurry of activity for Liverpool this summer transfer window, and it’s not expected to slow down anytime soon.
The Anfield club confirmed the signing of Milos Kerkez this Thursday in what was one of the worst kept secrets of the window.
The Hungarian is the third acquisition of the summer after Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz were officially announced in the past weeks.
And while some fans may want to catch their breath after scanning social media channels all week for the Kerkez announcement, there is more to come soon.
DaveOCKOP can exclusively reveal that the Merseyside giants are now closing in on a deal for Marc Guehi.
Liverpool’s recruitment team touched base with Guehi’s representatives earlier this year, as exclusively revealed in March, and are now ready to accelerate negotiations with Quansah’s €30 million-plus-bonuses move to Bayer Leverkusen all but official.
The 24-year-old defender, who captained Palace to their first FA Cup triumph in May, enters the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, making him an attractive homegrown option.
Marc Guehi?

The England international was strongly linked with a £60M transfer to Newcastle last season, but the deal ultimately fell through.
With a year less now on his contract, the Anfield club are confident of getting him for less – potentially around £40m-45 million.
Chelsea has a 20% sell-on clause for Guehi following his £18 million move to the South London club in 2021.
This means that the Eagles will be tough negotiators, as they are aware that the Blues will also need their piece of the pie from any sale.
Securing Guehi would not only plug a potential gap created by Quansah’s sale but also improve the standard of the squad.
His familiarity with Premier League rigours and his home-grown status makes him an attractive proposition to the Liverpool hierarchy.
