Liverpool FC is continuing somewhat of a summer clear-out as Arne Slot looks to mould the squad in his image.

The summer window has already resulted in several high-profile departures.

Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid for £10million as he left before his contract expired.

Caoimhin Kelleher moved to Brentford, initially bringing Liverpool £12.5million, with the total possibly rising to £18million if add-ons are met.

Nat Phillips was sold to West Bromwich Albion for a package that could reach £3million, while Jarell Quansah’s move to Bayer Leverkusen saw a base fee of £30million, potentially increasing to £35million with bonuses.

And more summer exits are primed.

DaveOCKOP exclusively revealed in June that Scottish giants Rangers are keen to sign left-back Owen Beck on a permanent deal.

Now we can exclusively report that Rangers are continuing to negotiate with the Reds to bring the Welsh international to the Ibrox Stadium.

We understand that talks are running their course, with DaveOCKOP.com now revealing that Liverpool want a fee in the region of £10 million while Rangers seek a compromise closer to £7 million.

But the clubs are currently apart in their valuation of the 22-year-old, with work still needing to be done to reach parity.

Ideally, Liverpool wants to extend the contract of Owen Beck before allowing him to go on yet another loan, but Rangers wants him permanently.

His current deal expires in June 2026, having penned the long-term deal in July 2021.

There is also a feeling that Beck himself would like to secure a permanent move elsewhere and kick-start his career as a senior first-team player.

Wrexham are also interested in the defender, but the Welsh outfit would need to make player sales before moving for Beck.

His local roots – being born in Wrexham – and his family connection to Ian Rush make him an appealing target for the Racecourse Ground side.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has publicly commented club’s focus on the loan market this summer, aiming to “attract a better calibre of player” and bolster the squad depth.

Beck spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, where he made 24 league appearances and scored once.

He won the club’s Young Player of the Season after impressing on loan at the Championship club.
