Liverpool are financially capable of securing deals for both Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak this summer, Rousing The Kop has been told.

The Reds are in the market for at least one new forward this summer, with Wirtz and Isak featuring highly on their list.

Isak is understood to be Liverpool’s top choice in the centre-forward position, while Wirtz has been identified as a player who can help to plug the creative hole left by Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Although both deals could reach comfortably past £100m, RTK understands Liverpool will have little trouble paying the necessary sums.

This confidence is in part down to expected sales at Anfield, with the Reds hoping to pull in more than £150m in transfer fees.

And although this could in part help fund one move, it’s understood that Liverpool have sufficient funds available – and enough PSR headroom – to make at least one big signing without having to make a sale.

Although Liverpool are interested in signing Isak and Wirtz together this summer, that is not to say they will be able to pull either deal off.

Newcastle are confident of keeping Isak, although it’s understood that his future will rest on whether or not the Magpies offer him a suitable contract.

Liverpool could make their move if the Swede is not tied to a new deal in the weeks following the end of the Premier League season.

Wirtz, meanwhile, is seen as an opportunistic deal, with Liverpool previously believing he was heading for either Manchester City or Bayern Munich.

City are understood to be devastated at losing out on the player having been working on his signing for the past two years.

And while many at Liverpool still believe Wirtz is firmly bound for Bayern, they are ready to make their move if the German indicates he wants an adventure in England.

Should Wirtz slip from their grasp, Liverpool are understood to be considering other, statement targets, such as Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White and Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa.

While there are significant funds available at Liverpool this summer, it is unlikely they could complete the signing of both Isak and Wirtz without recouping some money.

To that end, Darwin Nunez and Caoimhin Kelleher are virtually certain to leave, with Liverpool believing they can bank close to £100m for the pair.

Luis Diaz could potentially go amid interest from Saudi Arabia and Barcelona, but RTK understands it is currently more likely that the Colombian signs a new contract and stays at Anfield.

Federico Chiesa is a more probable exit, with Liverpool also understood to be open to offers for Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott.

Kostas Tsimikas is another heading for the exit door, while the sale of youngsters such as Tyler Morton and Ben Doak are also expected to generate more funds for the kitty.
