Man United and Chelsea are yet to agree on a fee for midfielder Mason Mount ahead of his potential summer switch, sources have told Football Insider. It is believed the transfer fee remains the sticking point in negotiations, with the Red Devils already agreeing personal terms with Mount. A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the 24-year-old is likely to cost Man United around £60million. Old Trafford club remain positive about agreeing a deal with Chelsea.

A potential summer switch has been made possible due to a breakdown in negotiations over a new Chelsea contract for the midfielder.

The former Derby loanee, who lifted the Champions League with Chelsea in 2020, has notched 27 goals and 24 assists across 129 Premier League appearances. Man United will play Champions League football next season after securing a third-place finish in the 2022-23 campaign.
