PSV Eindhoven are in advanced talks to sign Sheffield United star Gustavo Hamer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
After excelling in the Championship last term, Hamer has attracted transfer interest from Leeds United, who beat his current club to promotion.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United have signed Tahith Chong, as they vie to end their poor run of form in the Championship.

While Sheffield United missed out on promotion last term, Hamer was a key asset for the Bramall Lane club, notching nine goals and seven assists in 41 second-tier appearances.
However, amid the South Yorkshire outfit’s poor start to the new campaign, the former Coventry City man is yet to score or assist in the league this season.
The 28-year-old’s previous exploits have done enough to impress PSV Eindhoven, though, while Peter Bosz’s men sit fourth in the Eredivisie.

The former Hull City manager’s predecessor at Bramall Lane, Chris Wilder, remains a popular figure among many Blades supporters after guiding the South Yorkshire club to the Championship playoff final last season.
Contrastingly, Selles has struggled to portray himself as a worthy replacement for the 57-year-old, losing each of his first four games in the second tier.
That sort of form doesn’t suggest that Selles is capable of steering Sheffield United to another promotion challenge, while losing Hamer will further intensify his struggles.
Hamer, who is comfortable on the wing and as an attacking midfielder, has proven himself as one of the best players in the Championship in recent seasons, and could help the Blades turn their poor form around.
Furthermore, the Dutchman boasts Premier League experience, having made 36 top-flight appearances for Sheffield United in the 2023/24 season.
