Sheffield United defender Rhys Norrington-Davies is travelling to London to complete a move to Queens Park Rangers, sources have told Football Insider.
A deal for the 26-year-old has been agreed between United and QPR, with the player set to undergo a medical at the London outfit’s training ground.
A full agreement is in place and once the formalities are complete, QPR are set to make the move official with a club announcement.
Norrington-Davies made just five starts under Chris Wilder last season and is keen to go on loan to play more first-team football in the Championship.
The left-back, who is also capable of playing at centre-back, has been targeted as an option to improve Julien Stephan’s defensive options.
Improving the back line has become a key target for Stephan in the closing stages of the transfer window, with a number of options on his radar.
19-year-old Esquerdinha started the Rs’ first game of the season, before he was replaced by Amadou Mbengue in the defeat to Watford.

However, they are keen to add a more experienced option alongside their younger talents, with Norrington-Davies seen as an ideal addition on loan.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 19 August that QPR want to sign Rangers defender Ben Davies and are racing Oxford United for his signature.
Davies spent last season on loan at Birmingham where he started 40 games across all competitions as they achieved promotion from League One in a record-breaking season.
Sheffield United are prepared to part ways with Norrington-Davies, who was on the fringe of their squad, following the signing of Ben Godfrey.
The official announcement of his signing came after Football Insider exclusively revealed on 6 August that Sheffield United had made an offer for Godfrey.

The 27-year-old defender boasts over a century of Premier League appearances during spells with Everton, Norwich City, and recently Ipswich Town.
Since signing last summer, he has made just five appearances for Atalanta, being loaned to Ipswich during the winter transfer window.
