Swansea have lodged a bid for Hammarby striker Jusef Erabi, sources have told Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has attracted the interest from multiple European clubs after impressing for the Swedish side.
Swansea have now made a formal move for the free-scoring forward as they work on getting a deal over the line.
Erabi has scored 29 goals in 93 appearances for Hammarby since breaking into the first team.
Swansea are in the market for attacking reinforcements before the close of the transfer window, having also bid for Wycombe striker Richard Kone.

With the Welsh side making bids for Erabi and Kone, it is clear that the striker department is an area of the squad that Alan Sheehan wants to address.

Swansea scored just 51 goals in the Championship last season, which was the same number as Plymouth Argyle, who were relegated in 23rd.
The Swedish top division campaign started in March, and so far Erabi has four goals in 15 appearances for Hammarby.
Last season, the young striker managed eight league goals in 24 appearances, as well as picking up two assists.
Erabi has also featured eight times for the Sweden under-21 side, scoring four goals in total.
Meanwhile, Chuba Akpom has agreed a deal with Ipswich Town after rejecting an offer from Birmingham City, sources have told Football Insider.
The Ajax striker, 29, has held talks with both Championship clubs as he plots a return to English football.
Akpom has reached an agreement with Ipswich and is set to complete a move soon.
Birmingham are said to be “gutted” to have missed out on the former Arsenal and Middlesbrough star, who has an impressive track record in England’s second tier.
