Liverpool stands in line to receive a sell-on clause fee for Bobby Clark – dependent on the transfer fee RB Salzburg receive in a potential sale.

The 20-year-old left the club in the summer of 2024, with many Reds fans disappointed at the time that a promising talent was moving away from Anfield.

He made his senior debut as a substitute in the famous 9-0 victory over Bournemouth in August 2022.

Over three seasons at Anfield, he featured 14 times in senior competition, scored once – netting against Sparta Prague in the Europa League – and collected a League Cup winners’ medal in 2024

With Jurgen Klopp departing, Red Bull Salzburg snapped up the signing of Bobby Clark from Liverpool for £10 million.

We exclusively broke the news of his move to Austria.

Pep Lijnders was the manager at the time and used his Anfield contacts to also bring Stefan Bajcetic on loan.

Since joining Salzburg ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, the youngster made 17 Austrian Bundesliga appearances, registering one goal.

He appeared in six Champions League matches, clocking over 1,100 minutes of senior football in total.

However, when Lijnders departed the Austrian giants, Clark struggled for game time and saw himself out of the matchday squads entirely towards the end of the campaign.

It is expected that the former Newcastle United academy man will seek fresh opportunities this summer, and Liverpool stand to benefit.

DaveOCKOP.com can exclusively reveal that there is a long list of clubs keen on Bobby Clark both in Europe and around the world.

This list includes German sides Eintracht Frankfurt, Cologne and Hamburg, as well as UK sides Sunderland, Leicester City, Rangers, West Brom, Birmingham City and Southampton.

There is also interest across the world including from Slovan Bratislava, Chicago Fire, Al Ettifaq, FC Copenhagen, Red Star Belgrade and Al Wahda.

In total, there are at least 15 clubs all eyeing a move for the player.

During the deal to send Bobby Clark to Austria, Liverpool cleverly inserted a sell-on clause.

The sell-on clause is valued at 17.5% but is also dependent on how much Clarke is sold for.

There is a concrete chance that Clark is sold by Red Bull Salzburg this summer, so Liverpool is definitely are line for a small boost to their finances when a deal is agreed.

There is no doubting Clark’s quality and a fresh start will reinvigorate the midfielder.

It is certainly one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
