Tottenham winger Yang Min-hyuk is set for his medical at Portsmouth ahead of a loan move to the Championship, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old winger joined Spurs in January 2025 before being immediately loaned out to QPR for the remainder of 2024/25, where he notched two goals and an assist in 14 appearances.

Now, the South Korean international is set to return to the Championship, but this time moving to Fratton Park on a season-long loan as Pompey attempt to push up the league table.

John Mousinho has already added experienced figures John Swift and Florian Bianchini to the squad, as well as Mark Kosznovszky, Luke Le Roux, and Adrian Segecic.

Thomas Frank is ringing the changes in North London, with Joao Palhinha arriving just days before Son Heung-min’s emotional departure to LAFC this summer.

The Portuguese midfielder joins Mohammed Kudus, though there is still plenty of business to be done before the summer transfer window slams shut on 1 September.

Jamie Donley, Will Lankshear, Tyrese Hall, Ashley Phillips, and Mikey Moore have all found new clubs for the 2024/25 campaign, and the Lilywhites will be hoping for success as Yang moves to Portsmouth.

The 39-year-old Mousinho has been keen to boost his team’s chances in the league next season, with Football Insider revealing last month that Portsmouth had struck a £1.2million deal for Kosznovszky.

Pompey’s transfer activity has been incredibly exciting for the fans at Fratton Park, and the arrival of Yang will only add a new dimension to the squad’s attacking lineup ahead of next season.

By no means was hitting the back of the net a problem last term, with Colby Bishop and Callum Lang both reaching double digits, with Josh Murphy and Matt Richie joining in on the action.

While Yang has only scored twice since arriving in England, both coming in the Championship last season, the move to Portsmouth presents him with another chance to prove himself to Spurs.
