West Ham are exploring a move for axed Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma in the final week of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Bissouma was a key player for Hammers boss Graham Potter during his time with Brighton before he joined Spurs for £25m in 2022.
Bissouma, 28, failed to make the Tottenham squad for their opening two matches of the Premier League campaign, including Saturday’s landmark win over Man City.
Now, West Ham have registered their interest in a late-window deal with both permanent and loan options possibilities.

It has been an abysmal start to the season for West Ham, with their 5-1 defeat to London rivals Chelsea on Friday (22 August), highlighting a number of issues around the squad.
One area where the Hammers seemed to be particularly lacking was central midfield, as their double pivot of James Ward-Prowse and Tomas Soucek was completely overrun by Enzo Maresca’s side.
Bissouma would likely add some power and bite in the centre of the park, and with his previous associations with Potter, he will already have some idea of the system and tactics.

The Mali international looks to have no future at Tottenham under new manager Thomas Frank, so a move to the Hammers would give him the chance to remain in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, West Ham are not thinking about sacking Potter despite growing pressure as a result of his difficult tenure at the London Stadium so far, sources have told Football Insider.
Former Hammers scout Mick Brown claimed on 18 August that Potter is facing huge pressure following a “disastrous” start to the season.
The closing stages of the 2024/25 campaign had heightened concerns about the manager’s performance and ability to get the best out of the players at his disposal.
However, the board’s stance has not changed from last season, when Football Insider revealed that West Ham were unlikely to sack Potter and would back him in the transfer market.
