Liverpool are keeping informed over the situation of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes this summer, Rousing The Kop understands.
The Reds are in the market for at least one new attacker in the transfer market and are assessing both central and wide options.
Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid has been called into question recently, with the Brazilian having to accept a smaller role than in previous seasons.
And RTK understands that this has alerted Liverpool, who have a long-standing appreciation of the player.
Liverpool tried to sign Rodrygo from Santos as a teenager and it’s understood they have continued to track him in the years since his arrival in Madrid.
As things stand, there is no guarantee that Rodrygo will be available this summer, but Liverpool have asked to be kept up to date with his situation.

Rodrygo has seen competition at Real Madrid ramp up this season after the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
With Endrick, Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz also fighting for a place in the forward line, opportunities have become more limited.

However, with Xabi Alonso set to arrive as a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, it remains to be seen how the new manager ranks his attacking options.
RTK understands Rodrygo will wait for clarity from Alonso over his plans before deciding whether to push for a move.

Sources have indicated that a conversation between Alonso and Rodrygo is likely to arrive sooner rather than later.
It’s understood that the 24-year-old is unlikely to leave for his summer break without a decision being made over his future.
RTK have also been informed that Guler is in a similar situation, as he looks for a bigger role under Alonso.
Liverpool are fans of the Turkish youngster and are likely to be monitoring his situation, too.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2018, Rodrygo has steadily developed into one of the biggest-named forwards in Europe.
The Brazil international has scored 68 goals in 267 appearances for Los Blancos, winning three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues along the way.
Should Rodrygo be on the market this summer, Liverpool would not be the only club willing to make a big move for him.
RTK understands that both Arsenal and Manchester City are long-term admirers of Rodrygo and would be ready to rival the Reds if encouragement is given over a transfer.
