Crystal Palace are at risk of losing Oliver Glasner when his contract expires next summer as Man United are keeping an eye on his situation.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the boss could be tempted to leave Palace when his contract expires.
Football Insider revealed on 8 September that Crystal Palace are determined to extend Glasner’s contract, but they have now been warned they must make the right decision.
Glasner is set to demand the club back his ambitious plans for the future in the transfer market, amid suggestions promises were broken during the summer window.
However, failure to do so could push him closer to leaving, after Football Insider revealed Glasner has emerged as an option to replace Ruben Amorim.

Football Insider revealed on 6 September that Crystal Palace fear Glasner could leave and join their Premier League rivals upon the expiry of his contract.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience working closely alongside elite-level managers including the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Ron Atkinson at Man United, insisted Palace must match Glasner’s ambitions if they want to keep hold of him.

“Crystal Palace have gone under the radar a bit, but they’ve been brilliant,” he told Football Insider.
“The manager speaks very well, he doesn’t ruffle too many feathers and he’s not afraid to be ambitious as we’ve seen so far in his time at Palace.
“I’ve heard good things about his work on the training ground and he gets the best out of his players.
“I think the only real issue there is there’s been a bit of talk of some broken promises in the transfer market, and there was the stuff with Marc Guehi.

“Glasner will know what sort of backing he can expect to get in January and in the summer.
If it’s not to the level he’s going to demand, he might think he’s taken Palace as far as he can, but without the support from the board, what more can he do?
“Then, if a Man United or somebody like that comes along, he might be tempted to make that move.
“A lot of it will depend on whether Palace are prepared to back him, take a few risks and show him that they can match his ambitions in the future.”
Glasner’s contract at Selhurst Park is set to expire at the end of the season, amplifying talk about his future with his situation at Palace still uncertain.
Football Insider revealed earlier this month that Man United are unlikely to sack Amorim imminently, while their 2-1 win against Chelsea has strengthened his position.
However, one win is unlikely to remove the pressure on him, after work has already begun behind the scenes to identify potential managerial replacements.
As Football Insider revealed on 22 September, Man United are eyeing Glasner, Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva as potential replacements for Amorim.

Contingency plans are being put in place behind the scenes, with a number of bosses both in the Premier League and abroad on their radar should they decide to pull the trigger.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 15 September that Man United chiefs are losing patience with Amorim and his methods.
