Liverpool are set to announce their next signings over the coming days.
Reds fans may feel like their club has been unrecognisable since the Premier League season concluded, as not only are they linked with big players, but they are also actively pursuing them too.
Jeremie Frimpong looks to be the perfect Trent Alexander-Arnold replacement, while Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez will be excellent additions on top.
Arne Slot has certainly been backed by owners FSG and the superteam that they are building could be a frightening prospect for next season.
Expectations will be much higher, however, compared to when he first arrived, and the Reds will be favourites to win the title again, especially after breaking the bank for Wirtz.
However, if the pressure isn’t enough already for the German, he might just be about to feel it a little more as the Premier League have handed him the hardest start possible.

The 2025/26 Premier League fixtures have been announced and, at first glance, the Reds might be quite content with theirs.
Liverpool face Bournemouth on the opening day and raise the curtain on the new season, although things will only get harder as games go on.

According to Opta’s power rankings, Liverpool have been ‘rewarded’ for winning the title by being handed the hardest opening 10 games of the season.
Based on their rankings, the team that has a score 100 – which is Liverpool in this case – are the best in the world and the hardest to play against, with one being the easiest.
According to this data, Liverpool’s opening 10 games ranks at a score of 93.5, the highest in the Premier League and indicating that they have the toughest run.

Liverpool face four of last season’s top six within the opening 10 games, as well as an away fixture to FA Cup winners Crystal Palace and a home match with rivals Manchester United.
Fulham have the second trickiest with a score of 93.3, followed by Manchester United on 93.2.
All the way down at the bottom with the ‘easiest’ set of fixtures, is Wolves as they have a power ranking of 91.2.
Despite a potentially tough start to life at Anfield, if anyone can show it’s easy then it is Wirtz.
Bournemouth, who will have lost Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Illia Zabarnyi by the time the first game rolls around, could be in real trouble as Wirtz could exploit the gaps left in their defence.
Mohamed Salah has also netted 11 times in just 10 games against the Cherries, with the Egyptian hoping to add to his tally when supplied by the German himself.
This could give the 22-year-old the confidence to shine from the very start, suggesting that having the ‘hardest fixtures’ really doesn’t mean anything at all.
