Burnley midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu should have been sent off for serious foul play when the Clarets faced Liverpool on Sunday.
In their second home game of the Premier League season, Burnley hosted Liverpool on 14 September.
The Lancashire club were searching for their second victory of the top-flight campaign, after losing 3-2 to Manchester United in their final game before the international break.
Meanwhile, Liverpool opted against selecting summer signing Alexander Isak against Scott Parker’s side at Turf Moor.

Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Liverpool are confident of signing Marc Guehi, despite their move for the defender falling through on transfer deadline day.
Meanwhile, in the 16th minute of the Reds’ trip to Burnley, Ugochukwu committed a bad sliding challenge on fellow midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
The 21-year-old’s challenge hurt the Liverpool man’s ankle, while the Argentine was subsequently replaced by Conor Bradley at half-time.
