Liverpool have been drawn at home to neighbours Everton in the third round of the FA Cup for the second time in three seasons.

There will be a lot riding on the second-round replay between Boston United, from the National League North, and Rochdale, with the winners hosting Newcastle.

The previous encounter, which ended in a 2-1 win for the hosts,  witnessed an ugly confrontation between Mason Holgate and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, with the Everton defender claiming he had been racially abused by the Brazilian.

The two sides meet tomorrow at Anfield in the Premier League.

“It’s a big incentive for us,” Craig Elliott, the Boston manager, said.

Firmino was cleared after a Football Association investigation.

Manchester United face a tricky trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
