Manchester City will face no punishment from the FA after a number of their players and staff were filmed singing chants about Liverpool supporters.

As reported by Paul Joyce, the FA say no rules or regulations have been breached so there will be no further punishment.

Social media videos emerged earlier this week of members of the City squad and staff singing about Liverpool supporters, using a chant that makes references to supporters be assaulted.

In the limited social media footage that is available online, it is unclear to see who exactly is playing a lead role in the chanting.

While no punishment was to be expected, the footage has divided opinions among supporters as they question the morality of the song.

This comes after the two sides have gone head to head in one of the most enthralling and tightest Premier League title races the country has ever witnessed, with City winning it on the final day against Brighton.
