Kevin De Bruyne will leave Manchester City this summer, with Liverpool now emerging as a shock destination for the Belgian superstar.
The 33-year-old playmaker is nothing short of a Premier League legend having won six titles with the Cityzens as well as ten other honours, including a UEFA Champions League, where De Bruyne played an influential role for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Now, with the former Chelsea man leaving City as a free agent, De Bruyne has been approached by Liverpool as the Reds look to add more midfield creativity to their ranks, with the City icon a perfect signing for this criteria.
And Liverpool’s FSG owners somehow pulling off the signing of De Bruyne as the first incoming of the summer could be the start of something incredible for the Reds.

Liverpool head into this summer as Premier League champions, with the Reds securing the title with four games to go after blowing every team out of the water in spectacular style under new manager Arne Slot.
And going into the transfer window, Liverpool need to keep the momentum of winning the Premier League under their wings, and signing a superstar name like De Bruyne could do just that for the Anfield side.
Indeed, Liverpool made a similar move in 2020 with Thiago Alcantara, with the Spanish international swapping Bayern Munich for the Reds in a move that was one of the most exciting the Merseyside giants had made in some years.

And De Bruyne could give Liverpool fans a similar feeling if a deal was to be made, with the Belgian wizard arguably an even more exciting signing given his incredible record in the Premier League and the fact he would be joining from an English rival.
Although a creative spark is needed at Liverpool this summer, it’s far from the biggest priority for the Reds, with a new central defender and pair of fullbacks the most important thing for the Premier League champions to splash the cash on.
However, signing De Bruyne could inspire other targets to join Liverpool this summer, with the Anfield side flexing their muscle with the City legend a surefire way to show the world that they mean business in the transfer window.
With Jamie Carragher suggesting that six signings are needed at Liverpool, landing De Bruyne could be the domino that starts it all for the Reds, who could enjoy their best summer window in years if they hit every target out of the park.
