Liverpool have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for the signing of Hugo Ekitike in a deal worth up to £82 million.
According to Fabrizio Romano, personal terms are already in place, with the French striker set to sign a six-year contract at Anfield.
The move comes as part of an aggressive summer overhaul under Arne Slot.
Ekitike fits that profile.
After hitting a wall in their pursuit of Alexander Isak, Liverpool quickly shifted to Ekitike, previously a key target for Newcastle United.
The Magpies had a £70m bid turned down earlier in the window and eventually backed out once Liverpool entered talks.

Ekitike, 23, finished last season with 22 goals in all competitions.
His pace, mobility, and link-up play made him an attractive option after Liverpool moved on from Isak.
The club has already started reshaping its forward line.
Meanwhile, Luis Diaz is pushing for a move to Bayern Munich and Darwin Nunez is expected to follow him out of the door this window.
Liverpool’s hierarchy clearly sees Ekitike as a long-term answer up top, someone who can slot into their system immediately but also grow into the role across the coming seasons.
With Fabrizio Romano’s signature “here we go,” the deal is all but confirmed.
