Fabrizio Romano has provided an encouraging update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Milos Kerkez this summer.

It has already been reported that the Reds have a personal agreement with the wingback.

Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, who originally signed Kerkez for Bournemouth in 2023, is leading talks.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano pin-pointed the player’s eagerness to join the Reds as well as the player’s agent having a good rapport with the club being factors that will facilitate the deal:

“The agreement with the player is done?

I’m told that Milos Kerkez can’t wait to join Liverpool,” Romano said

“He’s really tempted by this opportunity, tempted to be part of this fantastic squad, believing that Liverpool were already fantastic in the season just completed, and it’s going to be even better in the next one with more additions.

“There is a fantastic feeling at the moment between Liverpool and Kerkez,” Romano assured.

“The agent is the same agent who represents Federico Chiesa, so the relationship is very good, and now Liverpool are advancing on this deal.”

Manchester City, who were keen on the 21-year-old, have switched their attention to Wolves’ Rayan Ait Nouri.

This development has cleared the way for Liverpool to secure Milos Kerkez, with their main rivals for his signature now out of the picture.

With personal terms settled and talks between the clubs advancing, the Reds are now in a strong position to finalize the deal in the near future.
