Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.

The 22-year-old joined PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 and impressed with his performances, although he struggled for a consistent starting role under Luis Enrique.

He started 14 of 34 Ligue 1 games, producing an impressive return of 14 goals and 11 assists.

Barcola faces stiff competition for a starting role from Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue in Enrique’s squad.

The Ligue 1 champions have already rejected two approaches from Liverpool for the versatile winger, while Bayern Munich have also seen an offer turned down, according to ESPN.

Liverpool have also been linked with Rodrygo, who is expected to have a bit-part role under Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid next season.

The Spanish giants could consider cashing in on the 24-year-old.

However, Liverpool are believed to prefer Barcola over Rodrygo if they decide to move for one of the two attackers.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSG expect Bradley Barcola to sign a “huge” new contract once the transfer window closes.

It’s easy to mention dream targets for English clubs but PSG had a fantastic season, are in the best moment in their history and have no plans at all to change their ways as they’ve been doing fantastic under director Luis Campos.

“The Portuguese man is the one who signed Barcola and wanted him as a top target years ago, and everyone at PSG insists on not selling him this summer.

“Paris want Barcola to stay at all costs; it’s a decision shared by Nasser Al Khelaifi, Campos and also Luis Enrique, who insists on Barcola continuing and being a key player at PSG.

“This is why Paris Saint-Germain prepared a huge new contract proposal for Barcola, expecting him to sign after the transfer window closes.

“The new deal proposal is ready and PSG expect him to stay, unless the player makes a different decision.

“But as of now, the focus of Liverpool is on Isak and that remains very clear to all parties involved.”
