According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have submitted their first official bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
The offer, reported to be over €100 million including add-ons, was sent to Leverkusen on Monday.
But now it’s back to work — and Liverpool look serious.

Romano shared the update on his social media, writing:
“Liverpool first official bid for Florian Wirtz in excess of €100m package with add-ons has been received by Bayer Leverkusen.
That decision has put Liverpool ahead of Bayern Munich in the race.
Personal terms are already agreed, with Wirtz reportedly signing off on a five-year deal that would place him among the club’s top earners.
While the total fee may still rise depending on add-ons, Liverpool are pushing to close the deal quickly — possibly before the window even opens.
Leverkusen were believed to want between €130m and €150m, but may settle for less if the add-ons meet their expectations.
ESPN commentator Rob Palmer didn’t hold back in praising Wirtz earlier this year: “If you could get him to Liverpool, he is a superstar in the making.”
Wirtz could fill the No.
But with 69 goal contributions over the last two years, Wirtz brings numbers that could change the game — literally.
