Liverpool supporters are all but fed up with speculation linking any more Reds to Real Madrid’s shopping list.

Thet departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer still stings, a painful reminder of how easily one of Merseyside’s own slipped through the club’s fingers and into the Spanish giants’ grasp

Now, whispers about Ibrahima Konaté being Madrid’s next target have set alarm bells ringing once again.

The Frenchman is believed to have rejected three contract offers from the Anfield club to date, and with each day that draws closer to the January window without resolution, his chances of staying become slimmer.

However, thankfully Fabrizio Romano has rubbished another Reds player being linked to the record European champions.

Taking to Threads, Romano answered a question from his transfer Q&A this week, and emphatically responded to one asking about Ryan Gravenberch and Real Madrid links:

The question was “is Real Madrid’s interest in Ryan Gravenberch true?” to which the Italian replied “Liverpool are interested in Gravenberch, they love him?

So let them enjoy this great season.”

Meanwhile, it’s already been reported that the Dutch international is in line for a new “long-term contract”.

His current deal at Anfield runs until 2028, but it seems the club want to ensure they hold the cards on the player’s future.

Only 23 since this May, the midfielder has already scored two goals in four Premier League appearances, including a spectacular strike in the recent Merseyside derby.

Currently, he earns an estimated £150,000 per week at Liverpool, which totals around £7.8 million annually.

Having established himself as a key figure in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign, Gravenberch is expected to receive a significant pay raise in recognition of his vital contribution to the team.
