Liverpool have been looking for a new manager over the past few months and now it looks as though they’re getting nearer to Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.
Earlier this week, speculation emerged claiming the Reds had made Feyenoord’s Arne Slot their top target.
On Wednesday, TBR Football sources then claimed that Liverpool had entered into talks with both Slot and with Feyenoord.

And on Thursday evening, the manager himself revealed to ESPN that he is indeed after the Anfield job and that talks are taking place.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has dropped a fresh update involving talks between Liverpool and Feyenoord for Slot.
“Understand Liverpool and Feyenoord are now close to agree on compensation fee for Arne Slot as talks are progressing well also today,” Romano wrote on X on Friday afternoon.
“There are some details to clarify and then the final green light is expected to arrive soon.”

Football.london’s Alasdair Gold described Slot’s philosophy as a “Pochettino in the making” when Spurs were being linked with him last year.
Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan also provided a glowing endorsement of the 45-year-old amid previous links with the Lilywhites.
“The best thing about Arne Slot is that he is probably the best attacking coach I have seen in the last 35-40 years at Feyenoord,” he told talkSPORT last year.
“He is very similar to Pep Guardiola, his ideas are very similar, he is a massive fan of Pep and he plays the same time.
“He goes ultra-attacking, he is almost like a maniac.
