Liverpool look likely to complete their first signing of the summer this week before moving on to their next target.
The Reds had been expected to be busy in the market and are ready to kick things off before the season has even finished.
Their trip to Brighton on Monday could even coincide with an announcement over the arrival of Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong reportedly passed part of his medical on Sunday and is set to join Liverpool on a five-year contract.
But with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement already sorted out, Liverpool are unlikely to stop there.
The Reds have plenty of other deals to make happen.
With supporters’ expectations growing, journalist Fabrizio Romano has been interacting with former Reds player Luis Garcia to reveal what Richard Hughes could do next.

Although not everyone is convinced by Frimpong from a defensive point of view, his signing is still an exciting way for Liverpool to kick off the summer.
There should be plenty more ahead, too, as the Reds aim to build on their Premier League title win.

Romano is certainly expecting Liverpool to be busy, and after revealing that Frimpong is set to sign via his Instagram page on Sunday, the transfer expert was hit with a message from Garcia.
“Give me a here we go,” said the Champions League winner.

“Gave you yesterday brother it’s done!
Left back next…” Romano replied.
And with supporters clamouring to find out more from the celebrity reporter, he later took to his YouTube channel to name one of the main names to watch out for.
While several names are still under consideration by Liverpool at left-back, it has been clear for some time that Milos Kerkez is the one supporters want.
And according to Romano, they may well get their wish.
Speaking later on Sunday evening, he confirmed once again that the Hungarian left-back is in conversations over a move to Anfield.
“According to my information Liverpool also want a left-back,” said Romano.
“Liverpool remain in conversation for a left-back and one of the most appreciated names is Milos Kerkez at Bournemouth.”
Rayan Ait Nouri is reportedly still in the mix, while Rousing The Kop understands Liverpool are yet to rule out a move for Jorrel Hato.
