The Italian had already attracted interest from Serie A over the summer, with Napoli and Atalanta both reportedly keen on securing his services.
Chiesa missed Liverpool’s pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Japan due to a minor injury, which fuelled speculation about his long-term future in late July.
Since then, however, the 27-year-old has featured in all three of Liverpool’s Premier League games so far.
He bagged a late goal in the 4-2 win over Bournemouth on the opening weekend of the season.
While the English transfer window closed last Monday at 7pm, Turkish clubs can still sign players until September 12.
Istanbul giants Besiktas are understood to have explored the possibility of a deal for Chiesa.
Reports in Turkey claim the Super Lig side have held preliminary talks with Liverpool officials regarding Federico Chiesa, who was left out of the club’s 23-man squad for the Champions League group stage.
According to the Liverpool Echo, though, Liverpool have no intention of encouraging interest in the forward.
Chiesa is still viewed as an important part of Arne Slot’s new-look attack, which has been boosted by £125m signing Alexander Isak, fellow summer arrival Hugo Ekitike, and academy graduate Ngumoha, whose impressive pre-season has earned him a place in the senior ranks.
With Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez departing this summer, joining Bayern Munich and Al Hilal, respectively, Liverpool see Chiesa’s experience and quality as vital to ensuring stability during their attacking transition.
Chiesa joined Liverpool from Juventus in late August 2024.
