Federico Chiesa looks set to pack his bags this summer — and not for another Merseyside move.

After just one season at Liverpool, the Italian forward has made his transfer priority clear: a return to Italy, and that is for one good reason.

Chiesa arrived at Anfield with high hopes and a £12 million price tag.



Now, as Liverpool prepares for a busy summer, Chiesa appears ready to head home with a dream of playing in the 2026 World Cup.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news: “Understand Federico Chiesa’s priority for this summer transfer window is to return to Italy.

Chiesa loves Liverpool but limited game time an issue and Italian clubs started contacts to be informed on potential deal conditions.”

Napoli are one of the first clubs to show strong interest.

Other clubs in Italy are also in touch with the player’s representatives to understand the possible deal.

While Chiesa is still admired by some at Liverpool, especially the scouts who brought him in, it’s clear he no longer fits into Arne Slot’s long-term plans.
