He may not be getting the Premier League minutes he wants, but Federico Chiesa has a catchy new Liverpool chant and is still making a mint at Anfield.

His CV includes a Euro 2020 title, domestic cups in Italy, and four years with Italian giants Juventus, but he has hardly had a look-in this campaign, with a meagre 41 Premier League minutes to his name.

Having signed last summer for £12.5million on a reported wage of £120,000 a week, that makes for quite a staggering earnings breakdown.

Yes, Chiesa has featured sporadically in the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup and the Champions League, but even then his appearances have been fleeting.

And in the weekly bread and butter of the Premier League, five games off the bench is as far as Slot's generosity has extended - just enough to scrape him a winner's medal by the skin of his teeth.

In the 36 weeks since he was unveiled as a Liverpool player, Chiesa is estimated to have earned a whopping £4.32m.

Broken down further, it works out that the 27-year-old has been paid north of £105,000 for every minute he has played in the Premier League.

Many Liverpool fans were up in arms that Chiesa was not named on the bench against the Gunners, despite being the ultimate professional since landing on Merseyside.
