Federico Chiesa is the subject of interest from an unexpected team in Europe.

The Italians’ move to Liverpool was expected to be one of the coups of the summer after joining for a small fee of £ 10 million, which could rise to £12.5m based on add-ons.

Chiesa has shown glimpses of the quality that made him one of Europe’s most coveted attackers.

A new name has now been added to the list of clubs that want Chiesa, and this time it is a European club coached by one of Europe’s most decorated coaches.

Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe side are reportedly one of several clubs trying to pry the Italian away from Anfield in the summer.

This is according to Turkish media outlet A Spor, who claim that Mourinho has urged Fenerbahce to recruit Chiesa this summer.

The report claims that the 62-year-old coach is keen to improve his wide attacking roles, and he sees Chiesa as the ideal man.

The 27-year-old, who missed 14 games between September and December with a muscle injury, can play on either wing or across the front line.

Mourinho’s side sits in second place, five points behind Galatasaray with five games remaining in the Super Lig.
