The summer transfer window is always full of movement.

Clubs lose key players and scramble to find replacements.

In Turkey, Fenerbahce are preparing for change between the posts.

Their current No.1 is set to leave, and that has put the club in the market for a proven goalkeeper.

Their search has not been straightforward.

They explored the Premier League market, even looking at a title-winning goalkeeper, but the asking price from his club proved too high.

That deal fell apart.

Their rivals Galatasaray were also interested, but the numbers didn’t add up for them either.

This has left Fenerbahce looking elsewhere.

The man they now want is experienced, still performing at a high level, and has been a mainstay for his current team for years.

But this is not a simple chase.

There’s a question over whether he would even want to leave.

And from his club’s point of view, losing him is not part of the plan.

According to Sabah, as relayed by Sport Witness, “Fenerbahce are showing interest in Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.” Jose Mourinho wants an “experienced No.1” after the departure of Dominik Livakovi?, and “has now turned his attention to Alisson.”

Fenerbahce initially targeted Manchester City’s Ederson Moraes, but “Manchester City reportedly are looking for €20m for the 31-year-old and this has not only deterred Fenerbahce, but also their local rivals Galatasaray.”

Reports say both clubs “are prepared to meet the player’s personal terms but won’t also pay the requested fee.”

That has opened the door to Alisson, with claims “the Brazil international has been offered to them.”

However, “at this stage there are no reports of transfer talks or offers being lined up.”

From a Liverpool perspective, this move seems unlikely.

Recent reports have suggested the 32-year-old Brazilian international will unlikely leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

He made 35 appearances last season and is under contract until 2027.

With new signing Giorgi Mamardashvili also at the club, the decision on who starts will be key.

But for now, Fenerbahce’s chances of getting Alisson look slim.
