Fin Robertson has been working closely with David Longwell in a bid to add more killer numbers.
The Dundee playmaker is already off the mark this season but knows that consistently he needs to add more goals and assists.
If he can do that then the 22-year-old knows he can play a big part in getting their season up and running.
That is why he has been doing a lot of additional work with Dundee’s technical director Longwell because he reckons it will give him more of an end product.
It'll come if you just keep putting in the hard work.
“We do stuff pretty much every week.
We're constantly working to try and build better relationships.”
Robertson is the latest in a long line of academy graduates.
The Scotland under-21 international is being tipped for big things.
“Everyone’s known about Luke for years now,” the midfielder insisted.
“I’ve always thought he's got the potential to break into the first team.
“The last few years, he's been on loan at Falkirk and he's done well.
“Obviously, he played a bit here last year as well, so I'm not surprised to be honest with you.
“To be fair, he's quite a level-headed boy, so he doesn't let too much get to him, whether it's a good game or a bad game.
I thought they played really well in the first half.
“We went in at half-time, had some words from the manager and ourselves, made a few little tweaks and changes and then I thought the second half was much like ourselves.
“We could have gone on to win the game if it wasn't for a few missed chances."
This is the only top-flight fixture and if Dundee could take all three points it would get them up the league.
Robertson stated: “It’s important obviously to try and get that first win on the board.
We're not in any panic mode.
We're just focused on getting the result.
“Home form is always good because every game in this league is tough.
“We're focused and we're ready to go.”
