Liverpool supporters have been provided a final stance on Nicolas Jackson transfer rumours as the Chelsea striker heads towards the exit.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Aston Villa are prepared to walk away from a Jackson hijack, leaving Bayern Munich as his likely destination, but talks appear to have stalled over a loan deal.
Multiple Premier League clubs have been keeping an eye on the 24-year-old Senegal international, including Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, who could still lose Alexander Isak this summer.
The Magpies, however, are pushing to sign Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen, seeing one more team drop out of the race for Enzo Maresca‘s wantaway striker, who has netted 30 goals across two seasons at Stamford Bridge.
Rumours have spread throughout the summer that the Reds could also hold an interest in the forward for the right price, and a new update has seemingly brought an end to those rumours ahead of 1 September.

Taking to X (28 August), the Daily Mail’s Dominic King wrote: “Nicolas Jackson’s name has been mentioned with Liverpool, at varying times.
Juventus have an interest in Jackson.”

Football Insider verdict
Football Insider understands that Liverpool are increasingly confident of signing Isak this summer, though time is quickly running out before the 1 September deadline.
Despite the signing of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, there still appears to be a missing piece of the puzzle for Arne Slot and his squad.
Unsurprisingly, many feel that Isak would fill that gap, having raised funds from Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez’s departures, but another centre-back might be a much more sensible signing.

Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is on the Reds’ radar, and has been for quite some time, but with just days left of the transfer window, it is far more likely that the England international remains at Selhurst Park.
Liverpool will be keen to lift the Premier League trophy once again, but having dropped out of the Champions League and FA Cup at early stages last term, there is the ambition for so much more.
It would not be a surprise to see Jackson end up in the Bundesliga this summer, with Christopher Nkunku leaving for Serie A, but nothing is quite certain yet.
