Everton are on the verge of completing a deal for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but they’re far from done in the market yet.

Dewsbury-Hall played a prominent role in Chelsea’s recent Uefa Conference League and Fifa Club World Cup triumphs, but struggled to make an impact in the Premier League following his arrival from Leicester City last summer.

But the 26-year-old is now set for a Merseyside switch, where he’ll play a prominent role under David Moyes following the departures of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Orel Mangala at the end of their respective contract and loan.

Moyes has not been shy in declaring his desire for multiple signings this summer, so who else could Everton target for the rest of the window?

Everton have already made a major striker signing this summer, bringing Thierno Barry from Villarreal, and they certainly needed to do so after scoring just 42 Premier League goals last season.

Barry is expected to sit ahead of Beto in the pecking order at Hill Dickinson Stadium but, then again, the latter’s Everton future is still up in the air.

Beto has been linked with a move to Leeds United this summer having been inconsistent at best since joining Everton from Udinese in the summer of 2023.

The arrival of Moyes last season certainly saw an uptick in Beto’s form, with seven goals in 19 appearances under the Scotsman — the same amount he bagged in 50 games under Sean Dyche (Transfermarkt).

But that hasn’t stopped Moyes from publicly expressing his disappointment in Beto’s form this pre-season.

“I’ve been a bit disappointed with Beto and I’ve told him.

We’re needing a bit more and he can do more and he has done more,” Moyes told former goalkeeper Tim Howard ahead of Sunday’s friendly against Manchester United (Goodison News, 4 August).

Hamza Igamane is one striker regularly linked with Everton over the last year and Rangers are understood to be open to £20million offers this summer.

He’s still just 18 years old, but Chris Rigg has already been through so much with Sunderland, turning out 72 times for the Black Cats to date and earning promotion back to the Premier League.

Last season, the attacking midfielder registered four goals and an assist in 45 Championship outings to help Sunderland win promotion via the playoffs — while he created 42 chances and completed 1.1 successful dribbles per 90 minutes.

Rigg’s exploits have seen him capped extensively for England across various youth levels.

But more than that, Everton and West Ham United are understood to be interested in the teenager.

Sunderland could cash in on Rigg to offset their lavish summer spending, and while it would be a lot to expect the youngster to regularly start at the tip of Everton’s midfield, Moyes has a great track record with young players.

Tyler Dibling has emerged as a major target for the Toffees this summer after four goals and three assists in 38 appearances for a dreadful Southampton side last season at just 19 years old.

Malick Fofana enjoyed a sensational 2024/25 campaign, notching 11 goals and five assists in 41 appearances to help Lyon finish sixth in Ligue 1 and reach the Europa League quarter-finals.

Of course, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the French giants right now and more exits could come following the sale of Rayan Cherki to Man City.

Fofana has attracted attention from Liverpool in recent months, but the Reds look hellbent on getting an Alexander Isak deal over the line, while Rodrygo is a higher-profile target for them on the wings.

Everton have also been linked with the Belgium international, and despite him having his heart set on a Champions League move, the Toffees could dangle a regular Premier League starting place in front of his nose in a bid to supercharge his career.
