Liverpool's previous record signing Florian Wirtz was subbed off late in last weekend's 1-0 win over Arsenal at Anfield, having previously been switched out much earlier in his first three competitive appearances for the club.
"It wasn’t an injury.
That is welcome to the Premier League, welcome to this intensity against an Arsenal side who can play very intense as well."
Wirtz has since joined up with the German national team for World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia (September 4) and Northern Ireland (September 7), and there are pictures of him in training as normal.

Ibrahima Konate was replaced 11 minutes before time against Arsenal.
"He thinks it’s cramp and I have no reason to doubt him although sometimes players talk about cramp and then we make a scan and it’s more than that,” Slot assessed.
Citing this was Jeremie Frimpong's self-diagnosis before his current injury, the boss added: "Let's wait and see."
Like Wirtz, Konate has joined up with his national team as planned.

Jeremie Frimpong was replaced 60 minutes into his Premier League debut against Bournemouth.
Later it was confirmed he would be absent until after the international break and missed the meetings with Newcastle and Arsenal.
In his answer to Konate's injury on Sunday, Slot said Frimpong's issue would keep him out two to three weeks in total, therefore there is a chance he could make an immediate return after the break.
In the meantime the Dutchman is working on his recovery at the AXA Training Centre, where he was the first of the squad to greet Isak when he arrived on Monday.
