Liverpool players joined in reaction on social media after a former teammate completed a move to the Premier League.

Arne Slot’s side have already had a busy summer transfer window, with the Dutchman looking to build on his debut campaign where Liverpool lifted the league title.

The Reds have spent big, as Liverpool broke their transfer record to land Florian Wirtz, while also adding Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitike to strengthen key areas of the squad.

Despite all the arrivals, the club are still pushing to do more business before deadline day as Football Insider revealed that Liverpool remain in talks to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, with nine days left in the window to strike a deal.

But while much of the focus has been on new signings at Anfield, attention briefly shifted elsewhere when Liverpool stars reacted to the news of a former teammate’s move to the Premier League.

Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of 25-year-old Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £25million.

The club’s official account announced the signing of the left-sided forward on Instagram, where several Liverpool players showed their appreciation.

Wirtz commented “Let’s go broski” with a heart emoji, Ekitike added applause emojis, while Frimpong reacted by liking the post.

Wirtz and Frimpong both previously played alongside the midfielder at Leverkusen, where the Moroccan international often operated as backup to the German playmaker.

Ekitike, meanwhile, has history with Adli at youth level, with the pair featuring together for France’s under-21 side before Adli switched allegiance to Morocco.

Sunderland were also interested in a deal for Adli but Bournemouth acted quickly to secure his signature following Dango Ouattara’s £20million switch to Brentford earlier in the week and marks another significant addition in a summer of change for Andoni Iraola’s side.

While Liverpool players celebrated Adli’s Premier League arrival, they may soon welcome a signing at Anfield with club remaining focused on strengthening their own squad.

Football Insider revealed that Liverpool are hopeful of securing a cut-price deal for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as deadline day approaches.

The 25-year-old has made it clear he is keen on a move to Anfield, and with less than a year remaining on his contract, Liverpool are optimistic Palace’s £40million valuation will drop as the window enters its final nine days.
