Liverpool transfer target Florian Wirtz has broken his silence on social media after the Bayer Leverkusen star was named Players' Player of the Season for a second successive season.
The 22-year-old scooped the Vereinigung der Vertragsfußballspieler (VDV) accolade, which is the players' union of professional and regional leagues in Germany.
It comes amid ongoing talks over a potentially record-breaking Bundesliga exit for Wirtz.
Liverpool are hoping to land one of the most talented players in Germany and in landing his signature, would see them gazump Bayern Munich and Manchester City to the move.
However according to Spanish outlet AS, Real Madrid are threatening to hijack the move with Xabi Alonso eyeing a reunion with the playmaker.

It has been claimed that despite the speculation suggesting Wirtz is leaning towards Liverpool, Los Blancos are not planning on throwing the towel in and the game is very much 'still on'.
Leverkusen value the Germany international at around €150million although there could be a compromise over the final fee depending on how the package is structured regards money up front and add-ons.
The ECHO reported last week that there is also a possibility a player exchange could be part of any agreement.
Speculation over a move falling through were rubbished by the Daily Mail earlier this week, with Liverpool fans monitoring Wirtz's movement.
The latest personal accolade for the Germany international offers a glimpse into the quality that Liverpool could be buying.
And on social media, Wirtz shared the post from his current club Leverkusen, posting a praying hands and red heart emoji in response to their congratulatory post.

BILD reporter Tobi Altschaffl told the ECHO recently that Liverpool are buying a "genius".
"Florian is a genius, I think he's made for the Premier League because he has good ball control and he's a very smart player," he said.
"He does not have the physical body of a 1.90m (6ft 2in) player but he's strong, tough and how to defend himself.
"In Germany, we were expecting him to stay for two more years, before he was ready to take that step to England, but now he is convinced that Liverpool is the right team for him."
He added: "Liverpool fans should be very excited, I know how much the fans admire good players and who give their heart for Liverpool.
"We knew from what Szoboszlai did in Germany that there was something, and you see him playing now and how Liverpool fans admire him, but this is nothing compared to what you will get with Florian Wirtz.
