Liverpool's pursuit of Florian Wirtz has raised doubts among Micah Richards and Alan Shearer, who question whether the German star can handle the Premier League's physical demands.
Despite acknowledging Wirtz's exceptional technical skills, Richards and Shearer both express concerns about his ability to adapt to the Premier League's physicality should he make the move to England.

Leverkusen have rejected two offers from the Reds for Wirtz, with the most recent being £110m.
Given these revelations and the growing chances of a deal being finalized soon, Richards and Shearer discussed Wirtz, both expressing concern solely about his young physique.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Shearer questioned co-host Richards: "Is he that good Micah?" To which the former Manchester City defender retorted: "He's exceptional.
"Obviously, he's got to do it in a league which is more physical.
Tactically, he's got it.
Or is he gonna play him out on the left-hand side, because he can do both, and honestly, for £120million he's worth every single penny."
Adding his take, Shearer said: "I've seen him quite a bit this season in the Champions League, and there's no doubt he's a really, really talented player.
"It's a hell of a lot of money, but I think he'll be a success.
With technical ability and all of that, he's a very, very good player."
While Liverpool supporters are eager for a swift resolution, ex-Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has suggested that negotiations could take some time.
