Expected to finalise a transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool by the end of the week, Florian Wirtz has revealed he has been on holiday with Jeremie Frimpong.
The Reds already completed the capture of the full-back from the Bundesliga club and would soon be reuniting the pair.
As reported by the ECHO, three weeks of negotiations culminated in Liverpool coming to a £116m agreement for Wirtz's move.
The 22-year-old was with the German national team for a portion of that, had since headed on holiday and is imminently expected to return so that he can come to Merseyside, undergo a medical later this week and sign a five-year contract with the Reds.
Wirtz himself stayed quiet throughout the process, not undertaking any interviews on international duty whilst keeping social media activity to minimum.

Having been active on social media, the Dutchman has done well to not give anything away himself.
They have eight joint goal participations in that period, when they also won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in 2023/24 - Liverpool will be hoping they can create similar success together once both settled in England.
This post may be perceived as Wirtz's biggest hint yet towards his transfer that he has made personally.

Meanwhile there was a moment he chose to use social media, hitting out at a report from his homeland suggesting he had demanded Alexis Mac Allister's No.10 shirt at Anfield.
Wirtz's transfer inches closer, which has allowed the Reds to also press ahead in negotiations for their next target, £45m-rated Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
