Florian Wirtz shared his thoughts after Liverpool unveiled him as the latest player to join in this summer’s transfer window.
The transfer saga has finally ended as the German midfielder signed his contract and completed his medical on Friday.
Liverpool didn’t hold back and officially announced the signing of the youngster right after that.
The Reds paid a club-record €100m+ transfer fee to Bayer Leverkusen to bring him to Anfield.
Arne Slot reportedly rates the midfielder highly, and his involvement in convincing Wirtz to join could be one of the main reasons behind the move — despite heavy interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

He also shared his thoughts on joining the Premier League: “I’m really excited to have a new adventure in front of me.
This was also a big point in my thoughts: that I want to have something completely new, to go out of the Bundesliga and join the Premier League.”
And lastly, he added: “I will see how I can perform there.
I spoke also with some players who played there and they told me that it’s perfect for me.
I’m really looking forward to playing my first game.”
It looks like he’s excited to begin his journey in England and is ready for a fresh experience in the Premier League.
