And there were Liverpool supporters thinking that their club could potentially sign just one Bayer Leverkusen player this summer.
But a new report from Germany suggests that as well as Jeremie Frimpong, the new Premier League champions are interested in Florian Wirtz, too.
Frimpong can be prised away from last season's Bundesliga champions should Liverpool choose to pursue a new right-back to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Everything is in place for the Reds to do that deal given the 24-year-old Netherlands international, who is said to be keen on a move to Anfield and whose wages would not be a problem, has a release clause of around £30m.

However, it would take a significantly bigger fee to bring in the prodigiously talented Wirtz.
While the 22-year-old Germany international is also said to have a release clause in his Leverkusen contract, it is has been reported to be worth more than £100m.
That would represent a club record fee for Liverpool, who unlike their Premier League rivals Manchester City and the new Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, haven't been linked with Wirtz.

Until today.
Reports in Germany, including from Kicker, suggest that the Reds have joined City and Munich in the race to sign the attacking midfielder and that club bosses held talks with both the player and his parents, who are also his advisors, in person when they travelled to England on Tuesday (May 13).
That claim has not been substantiated by Liverpool but it's safe to say it's got fans excited.
And little wonder, too, as Wirtz is one of the best young players in world football.
However, it did not end so well on his first visit to Anfield earlier this season.
Wirtz, along with Frimpong, was part of the Leverkusen team who were blown away 4-0 in November by the rampant Reds on their way to topping the new-look league phase in the Champions League.
Luis Diaz struck a first-ever hat-trick for Liverpool while Cody Gakpo headed in what was his fourth goal in less than a week.
Wirtz, who has scored 16 and 18 goals in his past two seasons for Leverkusen, struggled to get going as Arne Slot's side produced a superb display.
And at one point his frustration got the better of him.
In the first half, Wirtz subtly knocked the ball away as Ibrahima Konate prepared to take a quick free-kick to restart the game.

Reds defender Konate gave the young German a shove for his gamesmanship and made sure he let his opponent know that his antics were not thought of fondly.
It was all fun and games, which you can imagine is exactly what Liverpool's already fearsome attack would have if they added a player of Wirtz's quality to it.
