Didi Hamann has predicted Liverpool supporters will ‘fall in love’ with Florian Wirtz and that he will quickly become a fan favourite at Anfield.

Hamann played for both Bayern and Liverpool during his playing career and thinks Wirtz is making the right decision in choosing the Reds over the Bavarians.

And he has made an exciting prediction about the 22-year-old, confident he will thrive at Anfield and ‘achieve great things’ with his former club.

That's why I think Wirtz has made a very good decision.

"Liverpool is a global club, and they've demonstrated that in the negotiations.

They've probably been in contact with Florian Wirtz for weeks or months, and they've never heard anything.

“I think the Wirtz family was also impressed by how they handled it: discreetly, quietly, all in the background.”

He continued: “Florian Wirtz makes others better.

That's why he might have had the opportunity to go to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

“Liverpool has fast players: Jeremie Frimpong is also moving to Liverpool, and Wirtz already knows him very well.
